Transfers of business

The information contained on this page is correct as of 9 December 2008.

If you are reading this page about our proposals to transfer certain businesses of Scottish Provident Limited and Scottish Mutual Assurance Limited into The Royal London Mutual Insurance Society Limited then you have probably been directed here by a letter we have sent you, one of our national adverts or by your financial adviser.

If you are interested in what we are doing, you can access below the letter and pack we sent to affected policyholders, together with a number of documents we submitted to the United Kingdom High Court which approved our plans.

Our regulator, the Financial Services Authority (FSA) also reviewed our plans and an Independent Expert was selected to review the proposals to ensure the protection of all policyholders involved in the transfers. A copy of the Independent Expert's report is also available below.

Please feel free to read and download any of the documents on the site. These documents tell you what we are planning to do and what the impact is on you. If you have any questions, please call your normal helpline number.
