Scottish Provident change to Commission Statements - August 2009

Dear Intermediary

Commission Update - statements and payments for Scottish Provident protection business only

This letter is to let you know about an imminent change to your commission statements and payments.

As you will be aware, during a transitional period Pearl Group (PGMS) has been providing commission payment services for the Scottish Provident branded Self Assurance and Pegasus business. We are pleased to let you know, that from your first statement date on or after the 23 August 2009, your statement and payments will be issued directly from us for Scottish Provident protection business only.

Please rest-assured that there will be no delay in you receiving commission payments, these will be processed and paid to you in the usual way.

What does this mean for you?

  • There is no action required from you. You will continue to receive commission payments in the usual way, but now directly from Scottish Provident for protection business (Self Assurance and Pegasus) only.

What will this mean for your Account Number?

From 23 August 2009, your account number, ending in 'P' will become a Scottish Provident only account. If you use our web-based services, your login details will not change.

What are the main changes?

  • statements will be branded Scottish Provident, this will cover Self Assurance (term) and Pegasus (whole of life) products - please see the example of how the statements are changing here,
  • the BACS payment reference (on your bank account statements) will change from ANFI to be RLSP, and
  • the life and pension business that transferred to Phoenix Life will now be issued on a separate statement and payment. Again, there will be no delays to you as a result of this change. If this business applies to you, you will receive a separate communication from Phoenix Life (a company owned by Pearl) to update you.
